If you haven’t fallen in love with Frank Tripp yet, after his unforgettable appearances in Ms. Shupe’s Four Hundred Series, you will now once you've read  The Rogue of Fifth Avenue.  This is the first book in the Uptown Girls series but it also gives fans a memorable character’s HEA.  
Frank and Mamie’s story enlightened and entertained me with the way the author marvelously weaved historical facts of the time with the way their romance unfolded. The romance was extremely sexy, sweet and poignant that you just wanted to read more about them.  Although there was a lot of subplots in the book, the story flowed effortlessly.  In fact, it made it better with the way it was eventually tied in to Frank's own personal journey and to how he finally gets the girl.  Mamie was no secondary character here as well.  She holds her own despite the fact that everything seems to center around Frank and his own accomplishments.  In many ways she's the one that knows her own mind despite the social circumstances of the times.  Overall, The Rogue of Fifth Avenue hits all the right buttons for me and is definitely one of my favorite reads.

I will agree but only if you kiss me.
The thought came unbidden, a whisper from deep in her brain. Her gaze darted to his mouth, those full lips that flirted and cajoled every time they parted. What other feats could his mouth and lips perform, if needed?
Stop, Mamie. You have been listening to Florence too much these days.
She let her lids fall and tried to calm her racing heart. Chauncey. He was her future husband, the only man she should be lusting over. Desire for Frank Tripp was a complication she could not take on right now.
A finger swept under her chin to turn her head—and her eyes flew open. Frank was openly studying her, his stare hot and intense, with the gentle press of his finger holding her in place. The air in the carriage turned charged, an electricity that seemed to jump between them like alternating current. Her heart thumped in her chest, so loud she was certain he could hear it.
“Do we have a deal, Mamie?”
There was that deep grating tone again, the one she’d not heard him use before tonight. “Yes,” she heard herself whisper.
The side of his mouth hitched, a flare of male satisfaction lighting his gaze. He dropped his hold on her and before she could blink he rapped on the roof. “Here!”
The wheels slowed as the vehicle pulled over. She blinked in confusion. “What about seeing me home?”
“My driver will ensure you arrive safely. Remember our bargain. Good evening, Miss Greene.”

And he disappeared out the door and into the dark Manhattan night.

Switched by Cassie Mae was a funny and often frustrating read but highly entertaining. Kayla, Wesley, Reagan and Talon were all friends. Reagan and Talon were a couple while Kayla and Wesley, well they've been pining for these two since high school. Told from Kayla's point of view, she, dragging Wesley along hatches a plan to break the happy couple apart. Because as everyone can see Talon is her soulmate while Wesley is Reagan's. Thus starts the funs and the laughs and the musical chairs between the four. Kayla as a character was frustrating initially for me, I have no idea whether its because she was being an evil bestfriend to Reagan or she really was in love with Talon. I could not really hate nor empathize with her at the start. As the story progressed and the romance part began, her sudden self awareness becomes believable.
