Blog Tour: Fighting For Everything by Laura Kaye

From New York Times bestselling author Laura Kaye, comes the first standalone title in her brand, new Warrior Fight Club series, FIGHTING FOR EVERYTHING. Join the Warrior Fight Club world today!

Loving her is the biggest fight of his life…

Home from the Marines, Noah Cortez has a secret he doesn’t want his oldest friend, Kristina Moore, to know. It kills him to push her away, especially when he’s noticing just how sexy and confident she’s become in his absence. But, angry and full of fight, he’s not the same man anymore either. Which is why Warrior Fight Club sounds so good.

Kristina loves teaching, but she wants more out of life. She wants Noah—the boy she’s crushed on and waited for. Except Noah is all man now—in ways both oh so good and troubling, too. Still, she wants who he’s become—every war-hardened inch. And when they finally stop fighting their attraction, it’s everything Kristina never dared hope for.

But Noah is secretly spiraling, and when he lashes out, it threatens what he and Kristina have found. The brotherhood of the fight club helps him confront his demons, but only Noah can convince the woman he loves that he’s finally ready to fight for everything.

RATING/REVIEW: ☕☕☕☕☕ ( 5 cups of bittersweet brew that catches your interest and holds on to it till the end!)

Fighting for Everything is the first book in Laura Kaye's newest series, Warrior Fight Club,  about veterans suffering from a lot of issues post deployment and discharge and is learning to handle it as best as they can.  On the romance aspect it's a very sweet romance between childhood BFFs who suddenly discovers that their deep friendship has evolved into a romantic one.  Noah and Kristina's friendship has spanned a decade but after Noah comes back from deployment the rules of their relationship has suddenly shifted.  But Noah is also suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD and he's definitely not handling it well.  Help and support is available but Noah can't seem to move on, his sudden sexual attraction to his best friend Kristina is also throwing him into a tailspin.  Can he handle this at the same time ask for help for his condition.  Kristina has always adored her best friend Noah, not that he's permanently back stateside, she assumes that she'll have her best friend back full time.  But then things changed, for one Noah isn't the same person he was before and second, a sudden burst of sexual tension has crept in their once easy friendship.  Can they navigate this while Noah is having issues adjusting?  Ms. Kaye has always written sexy almost erotic romances with a lot of emotions and drama but Fighting for Everything seems to be different in terms of how the story unfolds.  For one, the romance is a given, because how can Noah and Kristina not end up together when they clearly are for each other?  The thing about this book is, its not about the love not being there but it clearly is about how to keep it.  Noah has a lot of medical and psychological issues as a result of his time in the military.  He's barely lived his life and now it feels to him he can't get back on track.  He has nightmares and a lot of rage that just gets worse the more he seeks therapy.  When he has a chance to be with Kristina in a romantic sense, he feels unworthy and as expected, drives her away.  When he tries to go back to being friends, he suddenly realizes he could lose that as well.  But the author has managed to illustrate this so well, the heartbreak, the hopelessness and sometimes the utter defeat of losing it all.  Fighting for Everything is an apt title, because in the end both Noah and Kristina have to do this to get their HEA.
