Review:
A very enjoyable read, not just because its a Nalini Singh book and I have enjoyed her previous other ones but because Charlotte's characters is something quite different in this story. She is the epitome of a survivor, a woman who moves forward with bravery and courage and yes, is afraid of what her every action might bring but when it comes to things and the person she wants to spend it with she is braver than most. She fights her own fears, her own personal demons and later on the real evil in her life to grab what she desires which is in this case is a normal life not just Gabriel. And the way this was achieved in the book was baby steps and not an instant getting rid of fears for purposes of expediency. She deals with it frustratingly slow and altogether true to life. Rock Hard is every romance novel you ever wanted to read, characters that are lovable, emotions that are romantic and intense, humor and witty dialogue despite the heaviness of the scenes but most of all because it is empowering for women.

Switched by Cassie Mae was a funny and often frustrating read but highly entertaining. Kayla, Wesley, Reagan and Talon were all friends. Reagan and Talon were a couple while Kayla and Wesley, well they've been pining for these two since high school. Told from Kayla's point of view, she, dragging Wesley along hatches a plan to break the happy couple apart. Because as everyone can see Talon is her soulmate while Wesley is Reagan's. Thus starts the funs and the laughs and the musical chairs between the four. Kayla as a character was frustrating initially for me, I have no idea whether its because she was being an evil bestfriend to Reagan or she really was in love with Talon. I could not really hate nor empathize with her at the start. As the story progressed and the romance part began, her sudden self awareness becomes believable.
