Blog Tour Stop: Indecent Proposal ( Boys of Bishop series #4) by Molly O'Keefe

Book Summary:

Perfect for readers of Susan Mallery and Rachel Gibson, Molly O’Keefe’s gritty and sensual tale of passion and politics features the brother of the heroine from the author’s beloved novel, Never Been Kissed. He’s a driven man who refuses to be distracted—until he meets a beautiful bartender who just may change his life.

With his chiseled jaw and his thick blond hair, Harrison Montgomery was born to lead. Four generations of Montgomery men have served the state of Georgia and now he’s next in line. Harrison, though, is driven to right wrongs: namely to clean up the political mess left by his father’s greed and corruption. But Harrison must first win his congressional bid, and nothing can get in his way—not even an angel who served him whiskey and gave him a shoulder to lean on and a body to love for a night. Problem is, she’s pregnant. Scandal is brewing and there is only one solution: marriage.

Damage control? Ryan Kaminski can’t believe that a cold, calculating political animal now inhabits the body of the emotionally vulnerable stranger who’d given her the most unforgettable night of her life. Really, she doesn’t want anything from Harrison, except to be left alone to have her baby in peace. But Ryan is broke, jobless, and essentially blackmailed by Harrison’s desperate family to accept this crazy marriage deal. For two years, she will have to act the role of caring, supportive wife. But what is Ryan supposed to do when she realizes that, deep in her heart, she’s falling in love.

Review:
I freaking love this book! I absolutely loved it. Harrison and Ryan are two characters that are so cliche on a superficial level but as the story unfolds you will never think of them as anything but complex, multilayered, emotionally frail human beings. The marriage of convenience trope was tastefully done a true testament to Molly O' Keefe's talent as a true storyteller. I can't even begin to describe how wonderfully talented Ms. O'Keefe is; she manages to make those tabloid headlines into a story about human frailties and what you might read contains a more deeper level of truth. I will never read a tabloid headline the same way again. Freaking fantastic, the best book of the series yet (sorry Ashley and Brody and the rest of the gang)

Review: ♨♨♨♨♨ (5 cups) For its main characters that are multilayered and whose broken and flawed personalities lent a depth to an otherwise all too common (but much loved!) marriage of convenience trope and truly spun it into a spectacular romance!

Rating/Review: ☕☕☕☕ 1/2 (4.5 cups, this romantic suspense will give new meaning to The First Wives Club)
You never know what you really would be getting when reading a Catherine Bybee book.  On the outside, each book can definitely hold its own as a great contemporary romance novel.  Read a little bit further, you get well-defined, multilayered characters and a romantic suspense in the making. Pretty soon you will be amazed on the intricate storyline balanced well with the main characters developing romance.  Fool Me Once is definitely a Catherine Bybee book.  The first in her new series, First Wives,  Fool Me Once is also a spinoff from her popular Weekday Bride series.  And yet again, Ms. Bybee delivers in her great characters, well thought out plot and melding her two series together without one overpowering the other.
The story starts out as the head of Alliance and their legal go to person, Lori try to help one of their client who unexpectedly lost her husband.  To get her away …
