A Jane Austen Daydream by Scott Southard

All her heroines find love in the end—but is there love waiting for Jane?

Jane Austen spends her days writing and matchmaking in the small countryside village of Steventon, until a ball at Godmersham Park propels her into a new world where she yearns for a romance of her own. But whether her heart will settle on a young lawyer, a clever Reverend, a wealthy childhood friend, or a mysterious stranger is anyone's guess.

A Jane Austen Daydream is a novel based on the life of Jane Austen. Southard has weaved the known facts about Austen with his own imagination, bringing us to what might have been Austen's world.

The story was very Austen-like with the way it was written, also with its setting and characters. Readers will mostly see beloved Austen characters in Southard's characters - like Jane being so similar to Elizabeth Bennet with her wit and charm.

The author takes the readers to the highlights in Jane's life starting from Steventon and witness Jane's growth as many events in her life unfold. We'll also have a glimpse of her journey in finding love. (McAvoy Lefroy, anyone?)

Scott Southard's tale of what might have been Jane Austen's life is a very interesting and entertaining read. A good mix of facts and fantasy - definitely recommended not just for Jane Austen fans, but for anyone who loves a good story. :)
