"I said their names as I walked through the woods. William, Liam, Bill. William, Liam, Bill. The same name, really. William, I had read once, meant desire. Their last names-Duffy, Doyle, Carey--all meant dark. My dark desire. Come into the light."
The Angel Stone was a great finale to a fantastic trilogy( The Demon Lover #1 and The Water Witch #2). Starting where the last book ended, Callie finds herself, along with the remaining fey and witches, fighting against the reign of the Nephilim while struggling to find her power as doorkeeper and dealing with the lost of her love. I like the tone of these books, more so in this one. The theme of fairy tales and old world myths was so seamlessly incorporated into the story, you start believing in them once again. The writing was so vivid, so detailed, but still so humorous and so very heartwarming that you get into the story so much you don't want to put it down. Callie and her posse of witches, fey and students were remarkable characters, relatable in every way that you can't help but like them. Fairytales were given new life, new meaning. A world that is so familiar but so unknown, writing that is clear and simple but nuanced with layer upon layer of hidden meanings and textured soul. It convinces the reader that fairy tales are more than just waiting for your prince, that sometimes its up to the heroine to save him. Its to look and fight for something worthy, something like love. These three books perfectly blend into one. Its my modern fairytale.

For Callie McFay, a half-witch/half-fey professor of folklore and Gothic literature, the fight to save the enchanted town of Fairwick, New York, is far from over. After a hostile takeover by the Grove—a sinister group of witches and their cohorts—many of the local fey have been banished or killed, including Callie’s one true love. And in place of the spirit of tolerance and harmony, the new administration at Fairwick College has fostered an air of danger and distrust.
With her unique magical abilities, Callie is the only one who can rescue her friends from exile and restore order to the school—a task that requires her to find the Angel Stone, a legendary talisman of immense power. Propelled on an extraordinary quest back to seventeenth-century Scotland, Callie risks her life to obtain the stone. Yet when she encounters a sexy incarnation of her lost love, she finds the greater risk is to her heart. As the fate of Fairwick hangs in the balance, Callie must make a wrenching choice: reclaim a chance for eternal passion or save everything she holds dear
