Rating/Review:   ☕☕☕ 1/2 (3.5cups!) This regency period romance isn't as straightforward as the plot states!  For one it has a bit of BDSM elements woven into it, not really that much of a surprise when the first page states this quite so effectively! Start the AC! For another, there is a bit of suspense/mystery going on and this is on top of the very unusual romance between a young lady, smart and desiring of independence from marriage. Theodora Lawton aka Theo has exhausted all possibilities of not going through with her marriage with her second choice fiance.  The first one had the misfortune of dying leaving her to deal with his brother who appears less agreeable.  Achilles Denton inherited an earldom and a fiance both of which he didn't want.  But war takes its toll on everyone, for him, it was his brother and his state of mind. This Hot in Hollywood Duet will have readers appreciating the writing talents of Ms. Katee Robert in delivering romantic story lines that vary in plot, tone and well defined characters. These two novellas are off shoots from her last book PROM QUEEN but can definitely stand alone despite sharing common characters. In Ties That Bind , reunited lovers Cora and Jack learn to navigate a relationship that basically started out in scandal but is now being resurrected when Jack is being threatened with another one. This one had serious undertones despite the occasional humor popping up (mostly from secondary characters ).
