Blog Tour: Better Love by Daisy Prescott: Review Post

BETTER LOVE by Daisy Prescott (Wingmen, #4)

Maybe that old song got it right. Maybe love can be better the second time around.
When one of my wingmen needs help, I'll do anything for him, including calling in a favor with the one person I swore I'd never speak to again. Not after I walked away from that life five years ago and ditched the trappings of my success. The keyword being trap. I left it all behind. Including her. Now the ambitious, brilliant, talented, and undeniably beautiful Roslyn Porter is back in my life. I'm not the same person she knew. I'm trying to be a better man. No man is an island, but Dan Ashland comes close. He's content with his quiet life on Whidbey, a world away from the rat race on the other side of the ferry.

Dan has three great loves in his life: solitude, pizza, and Roslyn Porter.

Better Love is a standalone second chance romance featuring Dan Ashland and the fourth book in the Wingmen series.

Review/Rating:   ☕☕☕☕☕ (5 cups) of sizzling second chances in life and in love! Its Dan the Pizza man's turn and its really better the second time around!

The fourth book in the Wingmen series, Better Love, is all about second chances both in life and of course in love. Fans of the series will be very familiar with our main character, its Dan the Pizza man, who may or may not be part of the Pizza Mafia (according to everyone's favorite Tom). Readers will finally be getting into Dan's past and its all out as romantic as one can get.

Five years ago, Dan left his life as a successful businessman in corporate America. He sold his business, made tons of money and moved out into the Washington wilds of Whidbey. A man needs to find his peace and what better way than to totally get rid of his old life. But there was one thing he fully regretted leaving behind, the woman he loved. Now in present day Whidby, after five years, he makes a call that restarts something that he shouldn't have ended in the first place. Better Love is all about second chances and finally winning back the one that got away.

Once again, Ms. Prescott takes her readers back to that town of Whidby, home of the lumbersexuals ,confirmed bachelors who have have started falling like timber one by one. Adept at humorous dialogue, fantastic plotlines and wonderful secondary characters, Ms. Prescott makes this place and the people that live there feel real. Dan and Ros' love story was equal parts funny, sweet, erotic and very, very poignant. It was an emotional read but with a lighter tone that balances the book really well. I think Better Love is the best of the bunch (which is very sad for Tom) and will be a tough act to follow! (*cough*Carter*cough*)

**Better Love's plot overlaps Anything but Love but can definitely stand alone**
**All the Wingmen books are told from the men's point of view but I think this works really well for the series*

**an ARC was provided by the publisher*

Review Post: Fool Me Once by Catherine Bybee

Rating/Review: ☕☕☕☕ 1/2 (4.5 cups, this romantic suspense will give new meaning to The First Wives Club)
You never know what you really would be getting when reading a Catherine Bybee book.  On the outside, each book can definitely hold its own as a great contemporary romance novel.  Read a little bit further, you get well-defined, multilayered characters and a romantic suspense in the making. Pretty soon you will be amazed on the intricate storyline balanced well with the main characters developing romance.  Fool Me Once is definitely a Catherine Bybee book.  The first in her new series, First Wives,  Fool Me Once is also a spinoff from her popular Weekday Bride series.  And yet again, Ms. Bybee delivers in her great characters, well thought out plot and melding her two series together without one overpowering the other.
The story starts out as the head of Alliance and their legal go to person, Lori try to help one of their client who unexpectedly lost her husband.  To get her away …
